Hello Students - Claremont Place
Dormer Repair
Following a drone survey at Claremont Place, it was revealed that wind uplift had displaced the lead covering on the front dormer. This left the timber substrate exposed to the elements, creating a significant risk of water ingress and potential damage to the room below. Given the urgency of the situation, immediate action was required to prevent further deterioration.
A swift response was coordinated. After assessing the site and ensuring all necessary safety measures were in place, the remnants of the damaged lead covering were carefully removed. The timber substrate was inspected for signs of water damage or decay, and minor repairs were made to reinforce its structural integrity.
A new lead covering was then installed, securely fixed to withstand future weather conditions. To complete the work, the surrounding areas were sealed and checked for any additional vulnerabilities, ensuring a watertight and durable finish.
This project highlights the effectiveness of modern drone surveys in identifying issues early and demonstrates the capability to execute high-quality repairs promptly.
